We <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/money\/2012\/07\/18\/156928675\/episode-387-the-no-brainer-economic-platform\">came up with a platform<\/a>, with the help of a panel of economists. We <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/money\/2012\/09\/14\/161165345\/episode-402-free-heroin-and-other-ideas-that-wont-get-you-elected\">hashed out the disagreement<\/a> among the panel. We <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/money\/2012\/09\/28\/161967973\/episode-406-making-economics-sexy\">brought in political consultants<\/a> who laughed at us, but also gave us some great messaging ideas.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we take it to the people \u2014 or, at least, a focus group. We find out whether these economically sound ideas can get anyone&#8217;s vote. We even create a couple real ads for our fake candidate that you get to hear.
