<\/a>Manifesto<\/a> has always gone against the grain, challenging the expectations of both his audiences and his genre \u2013 to great effect. As a solo act, he has played over 1,500 live shows throughout the US, Europe, Asia, Russia, Canada and South America, becoming a fan favorite and a critical darling. Now, with his first duo project Rome Will Burn<\/a>, he\u2019s stepping into the spotlight and bringing his innovative vision to the mainstream EDM world of electro-pop.<\/p>\nManifesto began learning the violin at the age of 5 and through a fateful turn of events, got his first DJ gig at only 11. He continued to do it and hasn\u2019t had another job since. In the artist\u2019s words,\u201cIt\u2019s more like DJing chose me than the other way around.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cManifesto is the thinking person\u2019s DJ, mixing classical with electronica — so for those that thought electronica is dead, no \u2014 it has evolved.\u201d THE EXAMINER<\/p>\n “You\u2019ll never see a performance like this.\u201d FAMEONE<\/p>\n Rome Will Burn\u2019s early stages began in 2010 when singer\/songwriter Alyssa Suede attended one of Manifesto\u2019s shows in Washington DC. Though this was the beginning of Manifesto\u2019s first duo, he was no stranger to sharing the stage. After delivering some of the hottest mashups as well as original music — his single \u201cShaken, Not Stirred\u201d took the airways by storm in 2006. The multifaceted musical enthusiast went on to perform with the likes of Benny Benassi, Nick Terranova, DJ FEEL, Bobina, Johnathon Peters, Heavygrinder, Victor Calderone, Paul Van Dyk and Nadia Ali.<\/p>\n Manifesto discovered that he and Suede shared a love for electro-pop and wanted to push the boundaries of it while still keeping musical integrity. Furthermore, since both artists were trained in classical music, it was only natural that they would bring those elements into expertly crafted electronica. At that point he realized the duo\u2019s potential to shape the future of mainstream music and he became dedicated to the project. And it didn\u2019t take long for Rome Will Burn to catch fire… and attention.<\/p>\n First to come on board was Alyssa\u2019s dad,composer\/arranger David Campbell. Although his plate was already full working with major artists like his son Beck, St. Vincent, and Taylor Swift, Campbell was intrigued by the chemistry of the duo. \u201cI knew it would be creatively stimulating to work with RWB\u2019s modern beats and textures combined with more traditional melodic elements. I don\u2019t hear enough of that with EDM type groups.\u201d<\/p>\n Next they perfected their live performance style with the help of choreographer Tony Michaels, who has choreographed for Beyonce, NSYNC, and J. Lo, and began playing shows and getting rave reviews at L.A. venues including The Echo, The Viper Room, Dragonfly, and House of Blues.<\/p>\n Manifesto\u2019s musicianship and performance experience helped speed the group towards their star high goals.The duo soon attracted the interest of iconic music producer Randy Jackson who was intrigued by the idea of electric violin and melodic songwriting mixed with the elements of electronica. Jackson proceeded to guide the rewrites and recording of the RWB songs. The product brought them a five album deal with Blue Mask Records<\/a> — sister label to Pocket Kid Records (the home of rock act, Dead Sara). Rome Will Burn\u2019s self titled debut EP is slated for worldwide release on October 20th, 2015.<\/p>\n The chemistry Manifesto shares with Suede is captured both on recordings and live.
