In other sports, points are based on finish in conference tournaments or meets. Extra points as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Football: Two for a bowl berth, plus one for a top 15 finish in the AP or coaches&#8217; polls, two for a top 4 finish or three for a national championship.<\/p>\n<p>Baseball and softball: Two for a NCAA tournament berth, plus one for a Big 12 tournament championship (baseball only), plus one for super regionals, two for CWS semifinal berth or three for a national title.<\/p>\n<p>Basketball, soccer, tennis and volleyball: Two for an NCAA tournament berth, plus one for a Big 12 tournament title (except volleyball), plus one for a Sweet 16 berth, two for a Final Four berth or three for a national title.<\/p>\n<p>Golf: One for an NCAA regional berth, plus one for an NCAA championship berth, plus one for a top 15 finish, two for a top 4 or three for a national title.<\/p>\n<p>Track: Only the highest total of cross country, indoor and outdoor track is counted.<\/p>\n<p>Swimming and diving: Two for an NCAA top 20 finish, plus one for a Top 10 finish, two for a top 4 or three for a national title.<\/p>\n<p>Gymnastics and rowing: Two for an NCAA finals berth plus one for a top 4 finish or three for a national title.<\/p>\n<p>Wrestling: Two for an NCAA top 20 finish, plus one for a top 10 finish, two for a top 4 or three for a national title.<\/p>\n<p>Equestrian: One for Big 12 equestrian tournament championship. Points are not awarded for NCEA national championship tournament since it isn&#8217;t an NCAA championship sport.<\/p>\n<p>Ties in the standings in a given sport are broken by head-to-head results, when applicable.
