A record number of Marylanders will be traveling over the holiday weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Tracey Leong explains.<\/p>\n<p>With a combination of steady job growth and lower gas prices, Marylanders are ready to splurge on their weekend getaway.<\/p>\n<p>Across the country, 42 million people are expected to travel for the Fourth of July weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Americans as well as Marylanders are feeling very optimistic with the economy, said Ragina Cooper-Averella, AAA Mid-Atlantic.<\/p>\n<p>Its projected that 754,000 will be going by car, 65,000 by air and 52,000 by bus or train.<\/p>\n<p>Prices dropping at the pump also an encouraging reason to get out of town.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeing the lowest gas prices for the Fourth of July holiday weekend than we have seen in the last five years, said Averella.<\/p>\n<p>Everybody loves lower gas prices, said Karen Smith.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/baltimore.cbslocal.com\/2015\/06\/26\/record-number-expected-to-travel-for-4th-of-july-weekend\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">article source<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BALTIMORE (WJZ) If you are planning a Fourth of July trip, youre not alone.
