\"\"<\/a>Tokyo’s <\/span>stock exchange<\/span> warned scandal hit Olympus Corp on Thursday. <\/span>It’ll<\/span> be delisted after <\/span>sixty two<\/span> years as a publicly traded <\/span>business<\/span> if it fails to report <\/span>earnings<\/span> by Dec. 14.<\/p>\n

Olympus said that they <\/span>won’t<\/span> issue their earnings <\/span>earlier than a<\/span> Nov. 14 filing date, but they are <\/span>hoping<\/span> to meet the later deadline.<\/p>\n

The <\/span>company<\/span> admitted on Tuesday to <\/span>a ten year<\/span> cover-up of securities losses <\/span>that’s<\/span> being investigated by authorities in Japan, Britain <\/span>along with the<\/span> <\/span>US<\/span>. Tokyo police will also <\/span>look into the<\/span> scandal, the Yomiuri newspaper <\/span>reported<\/span> on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The report said <\/span>law enforcement officials<\/span> had asked Olympus for internal accounting <\/span>documents<\/span> and it would question Olympus executives to <\/span>determine<\/span> if financial laws were violated.<\/p>\n

The scandal <\/span>raised<\/span> doubts about the outlook for the once <\/span>respected<\/span> maker of cameras and endoscopes, which in the <\/span>time<\/span> of just under a month has lost <\/span>more<\/span> than <\/span>80 percent<\/span> of its <\/span>stock market<\/span> value.<\/span><\/p>\n
