In 2010, Warner Bros. hit an all-time industry record with $2.93 billion and already, through 71\/2 months, they&#8217;re within breathing range of that sum as they became the 2nd major studio today to cross $2 billion at the overseas box offices, following Paramount 2 weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p>Clearly Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 did the trick, enabling Warner Bros. to reach $2 billion eight weeks earlier than the previous year, plus the power-boost of premium 3-D ticket prices. The new format represented 60% of the final chapter\u2019s overseas dollars, catapulting the movie to a dazzling $857 million and counting.<\/p>\n<p>Right behind Paramount and Warner Bros. among the majors at the foreign box offices, Fox is currently at $1.5 billion, Sony has logged $1.04 billion, Disney is at $1.7 billion and Universal is at $833 million.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hollywood is having a hell of run at the 2011 foreign box office.
