They had been captured  by troops loyal to Col. Moammar Gadhafi in Ajdabiya. At the time of  their capture, the reporters had entered a rebel-controlled portion of  Egypt without visas. Reportedly the Turkish government along with the  United States Government and British government all played key roles in  process of getting them released. However, many reporters still risk  imprisonment by going to this area to make reports. Two reporters from  AFP as well as two photographers who were with the New York Times  Journalist at the time of the incident are still missing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four New York Times Journalist were released Monday, March 21, 2011 after being held captive in Libya for six days.
