Lucasfilm had just one reason to dismiss the Star Wars <\/em>Expanded Universe:<\/b> Lucasfilm’s Leland Chee finally revealed why the Star Wars <\/em>Expanded Universe novels, comics and other materials were made non-canon ahead of production on the new movies, and it all has to do with Chewbacca.
