But the alleged perpetrators claim to have acquired text related to the popular \u2014 and famously spoiler-plagued \u2014 <em>Game of Thrones. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Entertainment Weekly<\/em><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/ew.com\/tv\/2017\/07\/31\/hbo-hacked-game-of-thrones\/\">broke the story<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;Hackers claimed to have obtained 1.5 terabytes of data from the company. So far, an upcoming episode of <em>Ballers<\/em> and <em>Room 104<\/em> have apparently been put online. There is also written material that&#8217;s allegedly from next week&#8217;s fourth episode <em>of Game of Thrones<\/em>. More is promised to be &#8216;coming soon.&#8217; &#8220;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s not clear if the hackers do actually have any <em>Game of Thrones <\/em>material, EW says.<\/p>\n<p><!-- END ID=\"RES540686162\" CLASS=\"BUCKETWRAP INTERNALLINK INSETTWOCOLUMN INSET2COL \" --><\/p>\n<p>NPR&#8217;s Eric Deggans reports:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>\n<p>&#8221; HBO is so secretive about spoilers involving its hit series Game of Thrones, journalists weren&#8217;t even given advance copies of new episodes before the new season began July 16.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Now HBO has acknowledged that a &#8216;cyber incident&#8217; resulted in stolen proprietary information, including some programming. &#8230; HBO says it is working with law enforcement and cybersecurity firms to investigate the breach.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>HBO has had material prematurely leaked online \u2014 including screeners, clips from overseas distributors and a <em>Game of Thrones <\/em>trailer, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/ew.com\/tv\/2017\/07\/31\/hbo-hacked-game-of-thrones\/\">EW writes<\/a>.
