It was only a week before the current labor agreement expires.  David Doty, a U.S. District Court judge, unsealed some issues for the  players. The judge did not immediately give a ruling on the matter  earlier this month stating he did not want to intervene.<\/p>\n<p>The union says that the NFL failed to secure the &#8220;maximum&#8221; revenue in  2009-2010 when it re-negotiated contracts with the major broadcast  networks. The players&#8217; union says that the stoppage happened because the  NFL was guaranteed money which is an unfair advantage in the labor  talks.<\/p>\n<p>The NFL says that seeking more money for the 2009-2010 seasons would not  have happened and would have most likely upset the networks.
