Tennessee Theatre announces July entertainment calendar

KNOXVILLE (WATE) The Tennessee Theatre will host a monthly free organ concert, Mighty Musical Monday, on Monday, July 6, at noon. The house organists, Bill Snyder and Freddie Brabson, will be joined by the O’Connor Senior Singers. Doors will open at 11:30 am, and attendees can purchase boxed lunches in the lobby for $5.

Summer Movie Magic series presented by Denark Construction with two more classic movies in the month of July.

Watch Walt Disney’s classic, Mary Poppins on the silver screen on Friday, July 24, and Sunday, July 26. Best Actress Academy Award winner Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke star in the musical comedy.

Wrapping up the end of July,  Academy Award-winning classic, Gone with the Wind, will show on Friday, July 31, Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2. The 1939 classic stars Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable is a drama that takes place during and after the Civil War.

Five-time Grammy winning jazz pianist and vocalist Diana Krall takes the stage at the Tennessee Theatre on Monday, July 27. Krall is one of the best-selling female jazz artists and is performing songs from her 2015 record, Wallflower, her 12th studio album.
