Sure, the fact that it’s still April and there are there are roughly 140 games remaining needs to be taken into consideration, but for Boston Red Sox fan’s, a huge sigh of relief seems to be in order.
There are plenty of teams in MLB history that have started 0-6 and even 2-10 that have gone on to have productive seasons. The thing is, the 2011 Boston Red Sox are not your typical team. This is a team that spent ten’s of millions of dollars in the off season to grab Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez. Getting off to a slow start was not something that fan’s were ready for.
The good news for Sox fan’s is that since their 2-10 start, they have won five or six and are slowly crawling their way to contention. Can they totally rite the ship and reach the World Series as many experts said they would? Ask again in another 140 games.
