The efforts to repeal of parts of the Obama healthcare reform bill is actively underway as Representative Lungren ( R ), is reintroducing the previous repeal attempt of the non productive requirement on businesses to report all transactions to the Internal Revenue Service on a 1099 form on companies to which they have purchases of $600 or more. Inspired by an email on March 2, 2011, from a grassroots small business owner, Jean Hawkins of Elk Grove, who said, sending out these forms to all business owners that she does business with will place a tremendous burden on her resources, which is completely unrelated to her business and it’s productivity.
On March 3rd the resolution to repeal was moved forward by House Speaker John Boehner as H. R. 10 and the bill was passed by a resounding majority of 312 yes votes, which included 76 Democrats to 112 no votes.
