In the NL Central this year, five of the six teams look like good bets to beat their Vegas Over/Under lines for total wins in 2011.
The Brewers (86.5) with Zach Greinke, Shawn Marcum, and Yovanni Gollordo fronting their rotation and Prince Fielder swinging for a big contract, can definitely win 90 games.
The Reds (85.5) won 91 last year and should have improved pitching this year.
The Cardinals (82.5) of Albert Pujols and Tony LaRussa always seem to find a way to get close to 90 wins.
The Cubs (82.5) could ride a rejuvenated Carlos Zombrano to a big year.
The Astros (72) started slowly but were one of the league’s most consistent teams from May forward.
The only NL Central team clearly begging you to take the under is the Pirates (67.5), who did little to improve this offseason and stand to get manhandled by an up-and-coming division.
