Nicolas Cage was arrested in New Orleans for domestic abuse against his wife, Alice Kim, whom he married in 2004.
An altercation occurred outside of a local New Orleans bar, where it was reported that Nic was in a drunken verbal altercation that resulted in the actor pushing the mother of his child. Reports from several news sites state Cage was arguing with his wife while a taxi driver witnessed the altercation, prompting the call to the police. When officers arrived, the initially were reported as telling the couple to go home, to which Cage retorted, “Why don’t you just arrest me”.
Well, ask and you shall receive. After another demand by the police, Nic repeated his request to the officers, and it was granted. He was charged with domestic abuse battery and disturbing the peace.
Nicolas Cage has since been released from custody on an $11,000 bond.
