Modifications to the Sikorsky’s S-76B helicopter

Sikorsky Aerospace Services’ facility has recently announced the completion of modifications to their S-76B™ helicopter which will be exported to Germany. Although this vehicle was orginally designed for VIP transport, it has been extensively reassembled and is now outfitted to perform maintenance operations throughout German windmill farms. Full service completions, maintenance and an assortment of other services and products will be offered for Sikorsky aircrafts as well as those of other companies.

This overhaul was completed in a mere four months. It included the installation of a new interior, a side door, a hoist, overhead lighting, seating and floor covering. The new interior includes air conditioning in addition to a belt mount. There are optional variants for the interior which can be installed for a multitude of different types of missions. It can be customized for off shore transport, search-and-rescue and emergency medical services. All of these modifications were designed to meet the specifications of customers.
