Libya Intervention President Obama

Many political analysts are looking at the impact of today’s current events are going to have on the 2012 Presidential Election. Particularly the recent intervention in Libya.

The situation isn’t looking very good right now. If President Obama’s intervention is quick and successful, then Obama could possibly see a slight increase in public agreement. Gaddafi has been a threat to the United States for decades and if he is removed and peacefully replaced, then there will be some praise for Obama. On the other hand, if this turns into a war or long drawn out ordeal with many casualties, then Obama will be reminded of it at poll time.

Public opinion is saying that they would like to see Obama be more aggressive. They would like to see him take out Gadaffi and have the rebels get a legitimate government in place.
