Iowa’s Jeffers Scouted By Chicago Bulls

NBA teams have completed trading for the season, and Nick Nurse, the Iowa Energy coach, is preparing for the upcoming raid.

Although this part of the job often forces him to give up some of his best players with short notice, he has learned to accept it as simply an occupational hazard.

A scout for the Chicago Bulls was recently at the Wells Fargo Arena to watch Iowa’s Othyus Jeffers, a player who scored twenty one points in a game against Sioux Falls Skyforce, a game that was being played before a large crowd of over 4,500 people. Jeffers’ own hometown team is actually Chicago, who has left open a spot on their roster after trading James Johnson to the Toronto in the past week.

Jeffers was one of three total players who was called in the last weeks of the season, in addition to Cartier Martin and Earl Barron.
