(WBNG Binghamton) As the Independence Day weekend kicked off Friday, people gassed up their vehicles and hit the road to get to their holiday destinations. Action News visited local travel centers and spoke to tourists passing through the Twin Tiers.
This Fourth of July, travel is expected to be the busiest its been in eight years, according to AAA. Local travel centers were jam packed throughout the day Friday.
