On a busy Sunday in the NBA, the San Antonio Spurs ended their six-game losing streak by defeating the struggling Phoenix Suns 114-97. The Suns are officially eliminated from the playoffs.

The Denver Nuggets snapped the Los Angeles Lakers’ nine game win streak with a 95-90 victory in Los Angeles to create a 2.5 game gap between the Spurs and Lakers for the No.1 spot in the Western Conference.

The Portland Trail Blazers won their eighth straight home game with a 104- 96 win over the Dallas Mavericks, who suffered their second straight road loss.

In the Eastern Conference, Shaquille O’Neal was finally back for the Boston Celtics, but was out after suffering a calf injury after only five minutes of play. The Celtics were able to defeat the Detroit Pistons 101-90.

The New York Knicks clinched a playoff spot with a 123-107 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers as well.
