NEW YORK (TheStreet) — Alibaba (BABA) today said that the head of its entertainment business, Patrick Liu Chunning, was taken into custody for issues related to his time at Tencent (TCEHY), the Chinese Internet company behind popular apps like WeChat. Chunning was detained along with five other former Tencent employees in connection to a bribery investigation.
Before coming to Alibaba, Chunning was the vice president in charge of digital entertainment at Tencent. The other five Tencent employees were also part of theonline video business at the company.
