Dance classes and camps available
Revolution Dance will have a new session of dance classes beginning Monday, June 29, at 835 N. 26th St.
The four-week session of classes has offerings in ballet, jazz, hip hop, music theatre dance and more. A full schedule and registration are available at RevolutionDanceGJ.com.
There also is still time to register for the Performing Arts Camps offered through Revolution Dance and the Youth Theatre Project. There are a variety of camps for ages 6 and older.

Utah state park to host new exhibit
Lyrical Landscapes, a new exhibit by The Moab Pastel Guild, will open Thursday, July 2, at the Bighorn Gallery at the visitor center at Dead Horse Point State Park north of Moab, Utah.
An opening reception will be from 36 pm Saturday, July 18, and the exhibit will be on display through Aug. 31.
The subject matter includes our beloved local landscape, as well as animals, flowers and more distant landscapes which have inspired the artists, a news release said.
Visitor center hours are 8 am to 6 pm daily. Park admission is $10.

Local band seeks votes in competition
Local alternative, indie rock band, Redlands, is seeking votes in the online Battle of the Bands Warped Tour 2015 competition. Winning offers the chance to play live on the Warped Tour.
Redlands, which is made up of Ben Lohle on vocals, Chase Martinez on bass, Taylor Macres and Brandon Ruckman on guitar and Zach White on drums.

Tickets on sale for monument concert
A limited number of tickets are available for a concert featuring five-time Grammy nominee, Ottmar Liebert, accompanied by Luna Negra, performing at 7:30 pm Thursday, Aug. 20, under the stars at Devils Kitchen Picnic Area on the East Entrance to the Colorado National Monument.
Liebert, playing Spanish influenced classical/flamenco guitar music, has received 38 Gold and Platinum certifications in the United States, as well as certifications in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Palisade seeks artist to paint mural
The town of Palisade is sponsoring a contest to paint a mural on the front wall of the newly remodeled public restroom in the center of town.
Upon completion, the building will have an old west flavor, which could be reflected in the mural. The mural should also be representative of Palisade in some way.
The dimensions of the paintable space are 8 feet by 12 feet, with a total square footage of 96 feet. The space has been finished with concrete backer board that should accept any paint used. Any or all of the wall may be incorporated in the design.
Deadline for submissions is July 20 and winning artwork would need to be completed by Aug. 31.
