History: The Clear Story Building was a fabric mill in the 1950s and used in an industrial fashion until roughly a decade ago. The space Granfalloon will occupy has been empty for about 10 years.
Scope: Granfalloon a word invented by author Kurt Vonnegut to mean a group of people who have nothing in common but find themselves together will be open 7 am to midnight starting at the end of May. A myriad of dishes from all over the world will be served in the cafe, and the venue will open to music, comedy and other live entertainment.
Granfalloon will employ 30 people, split nearly down the middle between full- and part-time.
