Updated versions of both the 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch laptops are going to be improved to include Intel’s new Sandy Bridge chipset and Apple’s high-speed Thunderbolt ports, DigiTimes reports.

Apple distributed well over 1.1 million of its newest MacBook Air throughout the fourth quarter of this past year, making it one of the company’s hottest Mac products ever before. A genuine classic design, the ultra slim Air presently utilizes Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of Memory and Nvidia GeForce 320M graphics as usual.

Even though it hasn’t even been a year since the October launch of the previous Airs, the desire to make Thunderbolt as a standard feature in the MacBook Airs isn’t entirely unusual.

The iMac was also redeveloped earlier this month. The all in one PC boasts Thunderbolt and FaceTime video-calling and looks exactly like the previous model overall. The MacBook Pro got this treatment in February.

Aren’t you dying to get your hands on the latest MacBook Air?
