The movie industry needs a hit and it needs it bad. After a record 2010 campaign, 2011 at the box office has been anything but fabulous for the movie industry. Sure, there have been bright spots like the “Rio”, “Hop” and “Rango”, all of which are mostly if not totally animated, but there has also been major disappointments like “Arthur” and “Scream 4”. The box office receipts have been down roughly 25% this season, and it has Hollywood in a tizzy.

The good news, though, is that help is on the way. Just one look at the list of movies that will be released in 2011 and you can imagine that the slump won’t keep up. Here are just a few movies that will be released this year: The Hangover 2, Pirates of the Caribbean 4, Kung Fu Panda 2, X Men: First Class, Super 8, Cars 2, the final Harry Potter, and much, much more.
