On Wednesday NASA finally released the first pictures that were taken on the planet Mercury. They have previously sent up a space craft to take some pictures on Saint Patrick’s Day. They are planning to have the space craft stay up there for at least a year to take pictures of the planet. Also why it is up there the space craft will study the planet as well as take some measurements.

The pictures that were taken showed close of views of the planet Mercury. The very first picture was taken around five in the morning. NASA is planning to show off more photos of the planet further down the line. They are also expecting to take a little over one thousand pictures in three days. NASA is very proud of this space craft that they have orbiting around the planet Mercury. They have named the space craft the messenger.
