Northern Lights?

The Northern Irish people, and some travelers who happened to be in the right place at the right time, found themselves witnessing a beautiful light show created by a powerful solar flare.
The cause were particles in the solar flare which started to fall down on Earth which created the lights, a.k.a. the aurora borealis, more visible to the awestruck onlookers. (The magnetic showers anticipated to end midday Friday also possess the prospective to down power grids and interrupt communications, based on this National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration update.

Residents of Northern Ireland and the UK found themselves buzzing all over the internet on Facebook and Twitter asking their friends if they had scene the unlikely show in the sky.
“already one CME [coronal mass ejection] arrived on the 14th sparking Valentine’s Day displays of the northern lights (aurora borealis) further south than usual.” Was reported by the BGS.
