Global Expansion Primary Focus of New Role
NEW YORK, Jan. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — 24 Seven, Inc., the leading specialized talent recruitment firm for Fashion, Retail, Marketing, Interactive & Creative teams, named Ricardo Alvar Chief Business Development Officer, Global Retail.
A longtime head of 24 Seven’s Fashion & Retail recruiting division, Alvar will lead the company’s expansion efforts both nationally and abroad, cultivating 24 Seven’s continued dominance in Fashion & Retail creative staffing and growing the firm’s market share worldwide.  He will spearhead the effort to raise 24 Seven’s global brand awareness, drive new business, nurture existing client relationships and improve the 24 Seven brand experience for clients.

Alvar was most recently EVP, Global Operations, for the firm.  A staffing industry veteran, he brings over 20 years of international leadership experience.  Prior to 24 Seven, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Headway Staffing and Talent Tree, and led Latin American business development and acquisition efforts for Kelly Services.
A graduate of Universidad De La Republica in Uruguay, Alvar serves on the boards of the Human Resources Council for the American Apparel and Footwear Association and the California Fashion Association and is an active member of The Luxury Marketing Council
