It seems clear that “The Donald” has struck a nerve with the public and with the left in particular. This should come as no surprise as Mr. Trump has been adept at garnering media attention regardless of the subject matter. There is much sizzle, yet there is also steak.

Mr. Trump has opened up a blitz of media interest in the “birther” issue. For better or worse it has been an effective stratagem in gaining the publicity that any opportunist must generate if he is to be noticed, and being noticed is what Mr. Trump is all about.

If one digs a little deeper, you will find there are other  issues, besides complaining about the birther issue, that Mr. Trump has indentified and has developed solutions for.

The two most important issues are our economic co-operation with China, or lack of it regarding currency valuation, the other is a plan to charge oil exporting nations for the protection the US military provides. These issues have the ability to change the very nature of America’s economic destiny in the decade to come.
